1.TECHNICAL MANAGER
Duty Station:EWURA Head Office-Dar es salaam
Technical Manager -Electricity will responsible for monitoring the coordination of technical matters of all Electricity sector performmance under the supervision of the Director of Electricity
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-To take responsibility for all technical mattera in the Electricity Supply Industry(ESI),including generation,transimission,distr ibution and renewable energy
-To advise the Director of Electricity on all technical maters of the ESI
-To Supervise the implementation of effective and efficient application of provisions of the Electricity Act in order to ensure technical,environmental and safety aspect of electricity sector are in conrfimity with provision of the Electricity Act,relevant laws governing environmental,health and safety matters and good industry practices
-To ensure existance of appropriate codes for the various segments of the transmission and distribution systems,including grid code,distribution code and electrical installation codes
-To liaise with Tanzania Bureau of Standards and other relevant institutions to establish and monitor standards of electrical goods and appliances manufactured or imported in the country
-To ensure quality supply of electricity to all customer categories
-To ensure Energy efficiency Programmes are implemented according to the policy including labeling of Electrical goods apparatus
-To Perform Technical Audits of the facilities
-To participate in Testing of Power Plant capacity when required
-To arrenge procurement of necessary tool equipment and softwre packages necessary for various testing and system monitoring.
-To undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and experience:
-University Degree in Electrical Engineering
-Post graduate qualifications in the fields mentioned above or othes such as Business Administration will be an added advantage
-Knowledge and Competence in Information and Communications Technology(ICT) application
-Experience in using at least one power system analysis package or poewr system planning tool
-Not lesss than seven(7) work experience in Electricity Industry

2.PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL ENGINEER(1 Post)

Principal Technical Engineer-Electricity will responsible fro carrying out the coordination of technical matters of all Electricity secto performance under the supervision of Technical Manager-Electricity
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-To take responsibility for all technical matters related to generation,transmission,distri bution,system opertions,cross boarde trading and supply activities of the ESI
-To Supervise practical implementaion of provisions of the Electricity Act in order to ensure technical aspects of electricity sector are in conformity with provission of the Act and good Industry practices.
-To advise the Technical Manager on technical matters.
-To collect and interpret relevant operational data in his/her jurisdiction and set up an appropriate data base that will assist in ensuring optimal provision of technical inputs required for regulating and contrrolling power supply
-To participate in review,issuance,renewal or revoking of licenses jurisdiction in accordance with the Act and accepted standards including reviewing terms and conditions for such licenses
-To carry out technical viability assessment of new infrastructure development projects and ensuring they are conformity with approved power system master plan,
-To advise on the adequancy of the existing codes for the various segments of transmission and distribution system,including grid code,distribution code and electrical installation codes
-Carry out any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time by the superiors
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate for this postion should have the following qualifications and experience
-Bachelor degree in Electric Engineering
-Post graduate qualifications in the fields mentioned above or others such as Business Administration will be an added advantage
-Knowledge and Competence in Information and communications Technology(ICT) application

3.SENIOR ENGINEER-RENEWABLE ENERGY(1 Post)
Duty station: Dar es salaam
Senior Renewable Energy Engineer-Electricity will be responsible for carring out the coordination of renewable enegy matters under the supervision of Techincal Manager-Electricity.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-To provide support in enuring optimal provision of economic,technical,safety and environmental inputs to regulating and controlling the geration of electricity
-To monitor activities of new and renewable energy and light handed regulation of small Power projects
-To ensure compliance of approved Rules on small power project.
-To ensure yearly rviews and approvals of the stanadrdized power purchase Tariffs are conducted through the small power project working group
-To ensure compliance of the parties to the standardized power purchase Agreements and advise the Electricity Generation Manager on the Status of operation
-To monitor renewable energy projects licensees' performance and compliance in accordance with the Act
-To ensure regular reporting of renewable energy information by developers
-To provide support in review of application of renewable energy projrctects licenses and carry out assessments and other activities necessary for license applications
-To provide technical support in licensing of new renewable enegy generation projrcts
-To provide technical support in licensing of new renewable energy generation project
-To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Electricity Technical Manager or his/her superiors.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal Candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and experience:
-Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy
-Post graduate qualifications in the fields mentioned above or others such as Business Administration will be an added advantage.
-Knowledge and Comptence in Information and Communications Technology(ICT) application
-Not less than five(5) years work experience in relevant fields,with at least three years involvement in renewable energy activities.

4.PETROLEUM INSPECTOR(2 Post)
Duty station:Dar es salaam
Petrolium Inspectors will be responsible for carrying out the monitoring of standards of Petroleum products and petroleum infrastructure in the Tanzania Mainland
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-To participate in the process of establishing stardads for petroleum infrastructure
-To participate in designing of rules regulations for products
-To participate in field inspections on providers of petroleum products so as to establish confirmity with standards
-To assist in soliciting,recording and processing feedback from providers of petroleum products regarding effects of regulatory policies and recommended appropriate action
-To assist in the following up on quality of delivery of petroleum products by licensed providers
-To astudy and recommende appropriate conditions for licensing and supervising providers of petroleum products.
-To participate in working with other divisions to find amicable solutions over disputes involving providers of petroleum products and consumers
-To undertake any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Academic Qualifications and Experience:

5.COMMERCIAL OFFICER-PETROLEUM(1 Post)
Duty station: Dar es salaam
Commercial Officer-Petroleu will be responsible for carrying out the monitoring of commercial aspects of petroleum products to the petroleum sector.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-To Liaise with Tanzania Port Authority(TPA),Tanzania Revenue Authority(TRA),Petroleum Importation Coordinator(PIC) and Oil Marketing Companies(OMC's) on the submission of data and information regarding arrivals of petroleum cargo ships and recording discharged volume petroleum products for each importation by each company.
-To keep record of Oil Companies stock at deposits and wholesale and retail stations sales as required
-To collect data on wholesale and retail prices at regular intervals(weekly,Monthly) and as and when required
-To establish a databank of persons involved in carring out petroleum business including consumer installations(big farmers,mining companies,industries etc.),transport and LPG retailers
-To reconcile monthly stock imports and monthly levy payment by importers of petroleum products and blending facilities.
-To follow-up on all regulated suppliers in the petroleum sector ensuring they comply with guidelines for submission of financial infromation as provided in relevant legislation
-Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by superiours from time to time.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
